  68. over, such as adding video fades to a large section of clips, setting
  69. stills to fit a music track, converting Framestores to Flyer Stills,
  70. and batch rendering CG pages directly to Flyer Stills. After all,
  71. shouldn't the computer be doing the work?

  76.     Removing waste footage from clips in your project frees up hard 
  77. drive space and speeds up tape backups.  Co-Pilot Video trims the 
  78. waste with care, rebuilds the project with precision, and always keeps 
  79. you in control. We can also identify clips that are not in your 
  80. project, and help you remove or rename them. It can even search for 
  81. and load unused clips, such as cutaways that are not in use.

  90. used repeatedly in a project. For layering, the Disk Recorder helps 
  91. you digitize video clips while having full access to the Toaster's 
  92. switcher screen.  You can embed CG scrolls, Fly-in Supers, 
  93. letterboxing, ChromaFX, Overlays and manual T-Bar moves right into a

  108.     Creating a perfect audio mix, with your music raising and 
  109. lowering around narrations and interviews, is an art.  With Co-Pilot 
  110. Audio, this and many other audio tasks, are just a press of the 
  111. button.  For example:

  113. Music Mix 
  114. =========  -- Creates an artistic mixdown of your audio, so that the 
  115. music automatically raises and lowers around lead/narration clips.
  116.  
  117.     Music Mix is easy to use. First identify the lead/narration clips 
  118. in your project (by assigning a 'sound type' classification with a 
  119. hotkey.)  Then simply highlight the music clip, set the mixer, and 
  120. perform the mix. Co-Pilot analyzes your project looking for those 
  121. narrations, and creates a series of music croutons all timed and 
  122. 'ramped' together. When you play your Flyer project, the music will 
  123. turn up and down appropriately.

  125.     Music Mix gives you control of your music. You can choose a 
  126. 'mixing style' preset and manually adjust the volume levels, fade 
  127. speeds and narration-overlap times. These settings are automatically 
  128. stored within the music croutons in your project for easy re-mixing at 
  129. any time. You can also 'slide' or 'backtime' the music without 
  130. affecting any fade points, and even inherit new music into an existing 
  131. 'ramped' mix.

  133. Mix Master
  134. ==========  --  Group volume control in some amazing ways, especially 
  135. when coupled with Aussie's "sound type" hotkey. Select one button, and 
  136. you have a volume slider controlling every narration in your project.  
  137. Or select the reverse, turning every clip that is NOT narration/lead 
  138. down. You could even 'tell' all music clips to proportionally turn up 
  139. by 40% but to never go softer then 12.

  141. Foreign Mix
  142. ===========  --  Converts your Flyer project so that it is ready for 
  143. foreign translations, by panning (or balancing) all narrations to one 
  144. audio channel and all other audio to the other channel.

  146. Reveal
  147. ======  --  Shows hidden information about any 'split' edits by 
  148. inserting passive croutons into your project displaying where 'split 
  149. audio edits' are happening.

  151.     As well as these principle routines, Co-Pilot Audio includes a 
  152. graphic timeline display, a summary report of your project, and the 
  153. complete OZ Set collection of 1OO fast ARexx tools, editing croutons,

  167.     Flyer owners who previously used the Toaster are in for a 
  168. pleasant surprise.  In the pre-Flyer days, we all used Framestores a 
  169. lot more than today.  Well, guess what?  They're back... they're 
  170. fast... and with Aussie's Fast Frames from OZware, they're even fun.
  171.  
  172.     Quite simply, Aussie's Fast Frames records any sequence of 
  173. Framestores, Effects and CG pages into a single video clip.  The 
  174. surprise comes when you playback  the clip, as ALL "loading time" 
  175. delays have been eliminated!  You have a single video clip playing 
  176. Framestores and titles as fast as 15 per second, along with video 
  177. effects triggered immediately one after the other.

  179.     "We used to perform lots of tricks with a GPI trigger connected 
  180. to the Toaster that are simply not possible in a Flyer project," said 
  181. Michael Holten, founder of OZware. "With Fast Frames, you simply build 
  182. the sequence and let it fly. Then you can even add an extra level of 
  183. CG or effects in the project screen, for that multi-layered look."

  185.     Fast Frames is very quick because it records the new video clip 
  186. in "real-time" just as fast as the Flyer can play. Aussie's Fast 
  187. Frames is perfect for recording a fast collage of Framestores and 
  188. effects, and it excels at CG title sequences such as a title list that 
  189. builds down the screen.

  191.      Designing a sequence is easy since you never have to deal with 
  192. loading times whatsoever. Loading time is irrelevant!  It also has 
  193. options to let you quickly repeat effects, replace cuts with fades, 
  194. and butt effects together. Other tools help create titles that type on 
  195. the screen like a typewriter, or automatically build a CG list with 
  196. each line of text coming on quickly with its own effect.

  198.     A recent addition takes Fast Frames further by adding control of 
  199. "Flying" keys, i.e. CG titles that fly on and off with trajectory 
  200. effects. These can be used in either a Fast Frames sequence or 
  201. digitized with background video into a video clip.

  203.     Fast Frames also adapts ProWave's RenderFX program to add keying 
  204. between clips.  So you could create a Fast Frames clip of an animated 
  205. CG sequence with effects, and then render that clip as a key over 
  206. another existing video clip.
